sgt. gene lamie
Gene was a good ole southern boy who loved to fish hunt and watch Tony Stewart drive and GA bulldogs score. He had a great smile and a sense of humor that kept you on your toes. He left behind a wife a son and a daughter. His parents, one brother and one sister. He had blue eyes that would just melt your heart. He pulled some of the best pranks. Every soldier who served with him has contacted his family to tell us some joke he pulled on them. But Gene love his "brothers" when he was leaving for his second tour he told me ( his mother) mom it does not matter if I make it home, what matters is that the men under me make it home. His "brothers" told us how he helped so many soldiers and what a great NCO he was. Gene touched so many lives. His memory lives on and his love is undying.
